This policy explains how De Icon Events Centre handles information collected through this website. For a privacy question or request, use the Contact page or the enquiry form and mention “Privacy request”.
Information you share
When you enquire, we receive your name, email address and any phone number, occasion, preferred dates and notes you choose to provide. We use these details to respond, discuss a viewing and manage your enquiry. Please do not include payment card information, identification documents or sensitive personal information in the form.
Optional marketing
Marketing permission is separate from your enquiry and is optional. If you choose to receive news, we record your choice and when it was made. You can withdraw that permission at any time through our contact route or any unsubscribe option in a marketing message. Withdrawing does not affect your enquiry.
Cookies and local storage
The website saves your cookie choice in your browser for up to 180 days. This is essential preference storage. The enquiry form uses security tokens and temporary checks to reduce abuse. Administrator login cookies are used when staff sign into WordPress.
Optional audience analytics start only after you accept them. They count page views and viewing or enquiry actions in our WordPress system. These statistics do not contain names, email addresses, raw IP addresses, full browsing URLs or a persistent visitor identifier. They are counts of actions, not individual visitor profiles. You can change or withdraw optional consent using “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Previously collected aggregate counts cannot identify you.
Security and service providers
Our website host and email providers process information needed to operate the website and deliver enquiries. Technical logs may be processed by those providers for security and delivery. Short-lived hashed network identifiers help limit repeated form requests. If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled on the enquiry form, Cloudflare processes browser and network signals for an anti-abuse check. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. These service providers may operate in other countries.
We restrict access to the website enquiry inbox to authorised administrators. Information sent through the form is stored in WordPress and may also be sent to the venue’s enquiry email inbox. No system can eliminate every security risk.
How long we keep information
Website enquiry records are scheduled for deletion after 365 days. Enquiries that become bookings may be recorded separately for the booking relationship and applicable record-keeping obligations. Email copies, hosting logs and backups are managed separately from the website inbox. Aggregate audience statistics are retained for up to 13 months. Short-lived abuse-prevention records expire automatically.
Your choices and rights
You may ask about the information we hold about you, request access or correction, ask for deletion where applicable, object to relevant processing, or withdraw an optional consent. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. For concerns about the handling of personal data in Ghana, you can also contact the Data Protection Commission.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our website or information practices change.
